We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at [School Name], a thriving primary school located in the heart of Bury. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom, supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
About the Role:
As an HLTA at our school, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning. You will work alongside class teachers to deliver high-quality education and will have the confidence and capability to lead whole-class learning in the absence of the teacher. This role requires someone who is flexible, well-organised, and passionate about helping children achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead whole-class sessions across a range of subjects and year groups
* Deliver targeted interventions to support pupils' academic and emotional progress
* Support pupils with additional needs, including those with SEND
* Assist in planning, preparing, and assessing learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff
* Provide high-quality support during lessons and help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities and school events
We are looking for someone who:
* Holds HLTA status or an equivalent qualification
* Has recent and relevant experience working in a primary school setting
* Is confident managing classroom behaviour and leading whole-class learning
* Has a good understanding of the primary curriculum
* Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children
