Salary: Grade 8, £ 36,363 - £40,777 per annum.

37 hours per week

Your role:

Lead the coordination and delivery of statutory electrical inspection and testing programmes, Including Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR's).

Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation (e.g. Electricity at work regulations 1989, BS7671, and internal policies.

Be a subject matter expert for electrical matters, providing advice, guidance, and assurance across departments and to contractors.

Maintain an monitor a programme of cyclical electrical maintenance, repairs, upgrades and inspections.

Ensure all electrical systems are safe certified and maintained in accordance with legal standards and best practice.

Working with:

Statutory Compliance team Building Safety, wider statutory compliance team, planned works team and the voids / repairs team.

Support:

Support from the Statutory Compliance and Cyclical Maintenance Manager and everyone from the Statutory Compliance team.

Client base:

Wigan staff working in corporate buildings, residents and contractors delivering the servicing and remedial works.

About you:

Hold the appropriate certification of professional qualification relevant to the role or equivalent experience, HNC or ONC or equivalent in compliance or building safety or engineering or related subjects.

Time served, qualified Electrician with Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.

Knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) qualification or City & Guilds/EAL 2391- Testing and inspection of electrical installations.

Demonstrable knowledge of EICRs, periodic testing and remedial works.

Proven experience in coordinating electrical compliance in a housing or property service setting.

Knowledge of statutory duties and regulatory requirements in social housing such as electrical safety standards and Awaab's Law.

Strong communication and contractor coordinating skills.

Ability to interpret electrical certification and documentation.
