Overview

The Role: As Senior Curriculum Manager - Health Sciences, Early Years, and Social Care, you will lead curriculum development and ensure high standards of teaching and learning across a range of programmes. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on teaching, staff mentoring, and quality assurance. You will play a key part in shaping the department's future, supporting innovation, and contributing to a culture of excellence and inclusion.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead curriculum development and ensure high-quality teaching and learning across Health Sciences, Early Years, and Social Care programmes.
* Oversee student progress, assessment, and course organisation.
* Manage and support teaching staff through mentoring, performance reviews, and professional development.
* Contribute to strategic planning, budget management, and resource allocation.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality, and quality assurance standards.
* Liaise with external partners, employers, and educational institutions to enhance programme relevance and opportunities.
* Support student recruitment, admissions, and retention strategies.
* Deputise for the Group Curriculum Director and participate in cross-college initiatives.


Who You Are

You are an experienced and forward-thinking educator with a strong background in Health Sciences, Early Years, or Social Care. You hold a relevant degree and a teaching qualification, and you bring a passion for curriculum innovation and student success. With excellent leadership and communication skills, you are confident in managing teams, driving quality improvements, and fostering an inclusive learning environment. Your ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on teaching and mentoring makes you a key contributor to the college's mission of excellence and opportunity for all.
