Overview
We have a unique opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our experienced team on a 12 month fixed term contract. As a Veterinary Surgeon at Bridge Vets your day-to-day duties will be a mix of consultations and surgery, and you will receive support from an experienced team including certificate holders. We actively encourage our team to advance their abilities and careers and are willing to offer support if you want to work towards a certificate.
Rota pattern to suit your lifestyle – 4-day week. We offer an excellent work-life balance with a flexible shift pattern. Typically, the full-time position is 36 hours per week over 4 days with shifts between 8:30am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. There are 1:7 Saturday mornings 8:30am – 12pm with no OOH. Part-time applicants are welcome.

About the Practice
Established for over 40 years with two branches in South Wales. We are an ISFM Silver cat friendly clinic, RCVS PSS GP practice and a nurse training centre. We have a loyal client base and provide easy access to Cardiff, Bristol, Newport and the Brecon Beacons National Park. Blackwood has a separate cat waiting area and cat kennels, 4 consultation rooms, 2 operating theatres, a lab, x-ray room, and isolation ward.
Our team includes many talented Vets (one working towards an ophthalmology certificate), 6 RVNs and a Practice Manager and 3 Clinical Directors. We encourage case discussion and offer support from Clinical Directors and colleagues. We also host social events, including a book club.
