Here at Langdons, we have an amazing opportunity for an Apprentice Receptionist to join the team based at our Head Office in Bridgwater. This Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 apprenticeship (provided by TRS), is designed for individuals who are typically the first point of contact with customers and who work in any sector or organisation type and is for a duration of 12 months. The apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity to learn through a mixture of on-the-job experience and block release training through an apprenticeship provider. You will learn how to be an Apprentice Receptionist under the guidance of experienced professionals and provide you with the Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 qualification. The role is working Monday-Friday 08:00-16:00 and offers an apprenticeship salary of £14,722.50. This is for a fixed term of 12 months with the opportunity to become a permanant part of the administration team. The Role of an Apprentice Receptionist: To act as the face of the company by welcoming all visitors and delivering a friendly, customer-focused experience. Operate the company switchboard and manage all incoming and outgoing post efficiently. What will you be doing as our Apprentice Receptionist? Key Responsibilities: Provide a friendly, customer-focused service, making sure all interactions – whether face-to-face, over the phone or by email – are handled professionally and helpfully. Manage the company switchboard, answering and directing calls efficiently, taking clear messages, and dealing with enquiries in a helpful manner. Greet and support visitors, customers and team members, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring all arrival procedures are followed. Take care of meeting room bookings and setups, making sure rooms are ready and fit for purpose. Order staff uniforms, office supplies, and printed materials, following company purchasing processes. Provide admin support across the team, offering cover where needed to help maintain a smooth and consistent service. Handle incoming and outgoing post, making sure it’s delivered to the right people promptly and accurately. General Responsibilities: Promote company values and code of conduct in all that you do and to others you come into contact with Adhere to company rules, policies, procedures consistently and encourage others to do the same Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation impacting on your role where required Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and ensure that confidentiality is applied where appropriate Be flexible as required in accordance with the needs of the business Qualifications: Maths and English (grade GCSE 2/Level 4 or above) A bit about STEF Langdons: Whether it’s fresh consignments or frozen goods we have it covered!
