Reedbut Group designs and manufactures corrugated packaging. The business has three sites; Milton Keynes the head office, Andover and Strood, and is one of the leading independent sheet plants in the UK. The company has an annual turnover of exceeding £20 million and employs 100 people.
The business operates in the rapidly growing corrugated packaging market and the materials the company work with have strong green credentials and are playing a leading role in the war against single use plastic.
Location: Reedbut Group Central – Milton Keynes
Position – Group Maintenance Engineer
Reedbut Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced multi skill maintenance engineer with electrical bias to join the maintenance team and implement strategic maintenance initiatives in order to support the running of the sites, whilst increasing plant and asset reliability.
Key Responsibilities
· Support and develop the preventative maintenance strategy, targeting more effective predictive preventive maintenance thereby reducing reactive activities.
· To be accountable for your own and others health and safety whilst at work, operating in line with safe systems of work and company procedures to enable a safe working environment.
· Take a proactive approach to continually improve housekeeping standards in engineering workshops and around the sites.
· Meet and exceed set KPIs for safety, quality, and productivity.
· Ensure contractors are appropriately supervised and comply with contractual commitments and site operating processes.
· Document and communicate as necessary comprehensive maintenance records.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders and colleagues to improve team and cross-departmental relations.
· Support with improvement to machine and process safety, quality and productivity.
Key Skills
· Experienced in Planned Preventative Maintenance is essential.
· Full driving licence as you may be required to travel between each site at times.
· Counterbalance fork truck licence.
· Minimum BTEC Level 4 HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
· 18th Edition in Electrical Installation preferred, training can be provided.
· PLC training/experience would be an advantage
· Proven experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
· Demonstrates good fault finding and problem-solving skills.
· Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office.
Hours and location of Work
· 40 hours per week
· Primarily based at the Milton Keynes site. After initial training you will provide occasional engineering support at our Strood and Andover sites as required.
Holidays
The basic annual leave entitlement is 20 working days. Additional holidays are based on length of service up to a maximum of 25 days.

Salary
· up to £45,000 depending on skills and experience
