The role: Northwood College seeks a confident and self-motivated Evening Security Officer to maintain the security and safety of the school premises during evening lettings. In this key role, you will help manage the transition from the end of the school day to the evening lettings period, securing unused areas and acting as the primary point of contact for external groups. You will ensure a welcoming and secure environment for all external users, providing support for lettings management while monitoring CCTV, controlling site access, responding to alarms and maintaining detailed logs of evening activities, security checks, and incidents. The weekly base hours required are as below: Monday - 16:00 - 20:30 (current finish time 22:15 due to netball) Tuesday - 16:00 - 20:30 (current finish time 22:15 due to netball) Wednesday - 16:00 - 20:30 Thursday - 16:00 - 20:30 (current finish time 22:15 due to netball) Friday - 16:00 - 20:30 These hours could be subject to change based on individual lettings - flexibility is therefore required. During netball season, the end time will be 10:15pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive, and hardworking individual who demonstrates good time management skills, the ability to prioritise and organise their workload and compliance with health and safety practices. Effective interpersonal skills are essential, including the ability to relate to young people, parents, colleagues and external agencies, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other professionals and teams.
