We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Flower Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail establishment. As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, driving sales, and ensuring that the shop runs smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
* Lead and supervise a team of shop staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Oversee daily operations including inventory management, merchandising, and sales strategies.
* Develop and implement effective sales management techniques to meet or exceed sales targets.
* Maintain high standards of customer service by training staff in communication skills and phone etiquette.
* Ensure the shop is well-organised and visually appealing through effective merchandising strategies.
* Manage administrative tasks including scheduling, payroll, and reporting.
* Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and feedback.
* Monitor stock levels and place orders as necessary to ensure product availability.
* Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role is essential.
* Previous experience in floristry business is essential.
* Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in team management.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
* Proficient in time management with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of shop operations.
* Experience in merchandising techniques that enhance product visibility and sales performance.
* Administrative experience is beneficial for managing operational tasks efficiently.
* Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays is essential.
