Fitness to Practice / Professional Discipline Solicitor
Base pay range: Up to £85,000 + Excellent Benefits Package + Generous Bonus Scheme
The Role
An exceptional chance to join a top‑tier, internationally acclaimed Legal 500 firm celebrated for its specialist legal services across the private and healthcare sectors. The firm is expanding its Healthcare Regulatory practice and is seeking a talented Associate/Solicitor to join its high‑performing team. You’ll work on a broad spectrum of regulatory matters including disciplinary proceedings, NHSE and CQC investigations, supporting both private care providers and NHS Resolution.
This role suits a driven legal professional with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE, a solid grounding in healthcare regulation, and proven advocacy experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse caseload of healthcare regulatory matters, including Fitness to Practise, NHSE and CQC investigations
* Deliver expert legal advice and representation to healthcare professionals and organisations
* Engage in advocacy across various forums
* Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to internal training initiatives
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery
About You
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 2–8 years’ PQE
* Demonstrable experience in healthcare regulatory law, particularly Fitness to Practise cases
* Confident advocate with experience in hearings and tribunals
* Skilled in managing both routine and complex regulatory matters
* Deep understanding of the healthcare legal landscape
* Technically proficient with strong organisational capabilities
* Commercially aware and solutions‑focused
* Committed to client care and collaborative team working
* Enthusiastic about mentoring and developing junior team members
