We are currently looking for a diligent and physically capable Container Loader to join our warehouse team at our DAL Warehouse in Rainham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to contribute to smooth and efficient logistics operations within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Job Summary
As a Container Loader, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of containers, handling materials with care, and maintaining organised warehouse storage practices. You will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining high health and safety standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to load and unload containers
Handle materials in line with safety protocols and company procedures
Organise stock within the warehouse, ensuring accurate placement and retrieval of goods
Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records
Perform heavy lifting tasks using proper manual handling techniques
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and materials to identify damage or safety concerns
Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment
Strong understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
Mechanical knowledge (beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues)
Experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, and container load/unload operations
Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling
Experience within construction or industrial environments (advantageous)
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
