Full-Time Learning Support Assistants - Canterbury & Surrounding Areas
Pay Rate: £88 - £90 per day
Full-time - Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm
Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential? We are seeking multiple dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join our growing team, supporting SEN schools across Canterbury and surrounding areas.
We support a range of specialist settings catering to pupils aged 4 to 19 years with a variety of complex needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Asperger's
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Some pupils require personal care support, including feeding and toileting
Your Role as an LSA:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Encourage student engagement and help build positive, trusting relationships
Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
Work alongside teachers, therapists, families, and external agencies to support holistic development
Deliver tailored educational and behavioural programmes under teacher guidance
Support with personal care where required
Who We're Looking For:
Passionate, patient, and committed individuals with a genuine interest in special education
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is beneficial
Able to travel up to an hour to schools in and around Canterbury
Willing to provide personal care support as needed
Able to remain calm, flexible, and positive under pressure
Must have (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service
