Electrical Engineer - Power Factor Expert
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a field-based Electrical Engineer, specialising in power factor correction systems. You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing, and repairing PFC units and associated electrical systems.
The role requires a strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, preferably in industrial settings. You will be working independently and alongside high-voltage engineers, travelling across the UK with occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
* Install and commission Power Factor equipment on industrial sites
* Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on capacitor banks and related control systems
* Diagnose faults and offer technical solutions for reactive power issues
* Support energy efficiency improvements in HV and LV environments
* Prepare service reports and maintain documentation in line with safety standards
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience working with Power Factor systems or similar electrical equipment
* Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, ideally in industrial settings
* A full UK driving licence
* Ability to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays
