Maintenance Engineer - Worcester
Permanent contract at a leading manufacturer in the Worcester area, working in a busy and continuously improving facility.
Shift details: Day shift - Monday to Friday, no nights or weekends.
We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Engineer with electrical and mechanical expertise, including confident fault-finding skills on 3-phase systems and proven mechanical and hydraulic knowledge.
The role involves reducing machine downtime through effective planned and reactive maintenance.
Due to ongoing development, this Dudley-based manufacturer offers a permanent position within a friendly and professional maintenance department.
Responsibilities:
* Provide maintenance solutions to ensure the manufacturing facility and offices are safe and operational.
* Support installation of new equipment, perform general maintenance and repairs on existing equipment, and handle administrative duties related to the role.
* Carry out PPM and TPM maintenance tasks.
* Ensure equipment is returned to production in a safe and functional state.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Electrical Installation 18th edition.
* Electrical theory and practice (C&G or NVQ levels 1 and 2).
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
* Experience in mechanical maintenance.
* Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
* Diagnostic skills for electrical and mechanical issues.
Suitable candidates include those currently working in industrial maintenance roles, service engineers seeking a static position, or engineers with strong electrical and mechanical fitting and installation experience.
Benefits:
* Starting salary of £43K, rising to £45K after 12 weeks probation.
* Salary increases through grading system and annual company-wide pay rises.
* Working days Monday to Friday with early finish on Fridays.
