Part Time Police Custody Nurse or Paramedic
Overview
As a certified nurse or paramedic, you can pursue a career within the criminal justice system, aiding some of society's most vulnerable individuals. You will work in custody suites, delivering healthcare to detainees and ensuring round-the-clock coverage in alignment with a schedule agreed with our client. The role may require flexibility to work across the base Custody suite and across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area. No previous forensic experience is required as full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Deliver healthcare to detainees in custody suites in collaboration with the Police.
* Provide round-the-clock healthcare coverage as part of a schedule with the client.
* Work across the base custody suite and an assigned region as needed.
* Participate in dynamic and innovative pathways with opportunities for progression and extensive training.
Requirements / Qualifications
* RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration): 2 years post-qualification – Band 5 minimum
* Paramedic: 2 years post-qualification
* Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant field (General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk-in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service)
* Driving Licence (required)
* Right to work in the UK; British Passport or ILR for 3 years; no gaps out of the country more than 3 months
* All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting
Schedule & Compensation
* Part time fixed shift working: 06:45 to 19:00 for day shifts and 18:45 to 07:00 for night shifts
* Team rota pattern: 2-day shifts on, 8 days, 2 nights, 4 days off; rolling rota available 2 years in advance
* Salary: £20,500 per year
* Overtime: estimated £3,500 per annum
* £500 bonus upon completion of 12 months service
* NMC/HCPC Registration paid
