Apprentice Mechanical and Electrical Engineer Company: BIOPAX LTD Location: Belfast About the role: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in mechanical and electrical engineering through a comprehensive, hands-on training program. You will work alongside an experienced engineer to gain practical skills in a supportive environment, learning to maintain, repair, and install a wide range of printing, die cutting, gluing equipment for the food and non-food packaging industry. Also assist in maintaining the internal and external fabric of the building and offices. Key responsibilities: Assist with the maintenance PPMs and repair of electrical and mechanical systems. Comply and follow all health and Safety process and procedures as per company polices. Learn to perform fault finding and diagnostics on various equipment. Help with the installation of new systems and equipment, such as lighting, control systems, and appliances. Participate in on-site inspections and safety checks. Support the design and engineering teams with tasks as directed. Complete all required university/college-based learning and assessments to achieve your qualification. Maintain a logbook and complete training records accurately. What we're looking for: A commitment to learning and developing technical skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. A willingness to work flexibly and follow instructions. An interest in mechanical and electrical engineering, construction, or a related field. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades A-C) or equivalent, including English and Maths, is highly desirable. No prior extensive experience is necessary, as training will be provided.
