Location: EMEA - preferred locations: Reading, UK / Bucharest, Romania / Nordics (Sweden, Denmark)
The Solutions Architect Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (m/f/d) is part of IGEL Global Advanced Services and operates as a highly skilled technical and business resource. This position works directly with IGELs Sales, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success teams to provide advanced and in-depth technical solution consultation for our valued customers. This role also operates in an advisory capacity and collaborates with internal stakeholders to bridge communication and knowledge gaps between the Sales Engineering team and other departments within IGEL such as Product Management, Engineering, and Support.
A strong desire to learn and a “can do” attitude are needed. You will be working with an experienced, motivated team willing to share knowledge to help you expand your skillset and succeed in reaching your goals.
Responsibilities
 * Provide customers and partners with Business Continuity planning, implementation, and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
 * Provide Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery best practices for partners and customers; build and maintain customer and partner rapport; ensure clear, professional communication between our teams and the customer.
 * Maintain knowledge of Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery technology trends by attending training courses and reviewing current technical publications.
 * Use remote tools to assist customers; troubleshoot and debug Citrix, VMware, AVD, Amazon Workspace and RDS sessions on the IGEL OS.
 * Install, configure and optimize the IGEL OS Solutions.
 * Up to 50% travel is required for this position.
Experience and qualifications
 * Experienced BC/DR Specialist (5+ years) to lead planning, implementation, and testing of continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
 * 5+ years of relevant engineering, consulting, or system integration experience with one or more vendors or VARs in the IT industry.
 * Experience with application and desktop virtualization platforms (VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services).
 * Experience with cloud-based technologies (Azure, AWS, Citrix Cloud, etc.).

 * Very strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with sales engineers, sales teams and management.
 * Ability to provide valuable content in the form of presentations to many people; ability to use video conferencing tools to provide remote sessions with customers.
 * Ability to work independently, under pressure, and multi-task.
 * Strong in creating guides to benefit the entire engineering team at IGEL.
 * Willingness to pitch in and be part of the team in all aspects of company life.
 * Proactive and adaptable to continuous innovations.
 * Very good self-management skills, such as personal organization and time-keeping.
 * Inner drive to do what’s best for the customer.
 * Ability to scope projects and to work with Sales on upselling while engaged with customers.
