Mechanical Fitter
Location: Stroud
Contract
Responsibilities
* Assemble parts to the required specification
* Work to engineering drawings to build mechanical sub-assemblies
* Mechanical build and fitting
* Precision pipe bending (company happy to train)
* Collaborate in a team of mechanical fitters to meet build targets
Knowledge and Skills
* Able to read engineering drawings and understand Bill of Materials
* Hydraulic or pneumatic assembly experience
* Ability to understand mechanical design assembly
* Previous mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
* Experience of assembling large, fabricated parts to engineering drawings
* Good dexterity with the ability to handle a variety of parts including sheet metal, machined and electrical components
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Understanding of Lean manufacturing
