Pay rate: £37.00 p/h inside IR35. (Entitled to paid overtime over 35 hours at a premium rate - 25% Mon-Fri and 50% Sat-Sun
20% shift uplift for working shifts)

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join the Manufacturing Technologies team at a leading aerospace organisation. This role focuses on supporting and deploying advanced automated machinery for the assembly of aircraft wing structures and sub-assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deploy and support automated assembly systems including Cartesian machines, CNCs, industrial robots, and cobots
* Define requirements for new machinery and develop innovative automated assembly processes
* Manage automation projects from concept through to implementation
* Provide technical support on machine performance, cutter/drill/router usage, and process improvement
Skills & Experience Required:
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
* Strong background in automation and/or robotics
* Understanding of aerospace production processes and REACH legislation
* Proficient in digital tools and data/statistical analysis (e.g., Minitab, Skywise)
* Experience with project management and structured problem-solving methods (e.g., PPS)
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
