Business Development Manager

Reports To: Sales Director
Purpose
Responsible for the growth and profitability of the modular permanent space business within a defined geographic area.
Experience, Qualifications & Training
* Communication: Excellent communication skills
* Relationship Building: Strong relationship-building and deal-closing abilities
* Technical Knowledge: Good technical knowledge with the ability to understand and meet client requirements
* Value Selling: Experience in value selling
* Project Management: Sales project management experience
* Bids/Tenders: Ability to manage bids/tenders from initiation to completion
* Sales Cycle: Experience with long sales cycle, two-stage projects
* Pre-construction: Pre-construction knowledge
* Industry Experience: Preferably a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with a strong sales track record, ideally within the modular sales industry
* Commercial Acumen: Must have a thorough understanding of cost, pricing, and commercial aspects
* IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Personal Attributes: Hardworking, committed, and a team player
Principal Accountabilities
* Sales Pipeline: Develop and manage a sales pipeline within the region to meet business plan targets
* Regional Strategy: Create and implement a regional strategy to meet sales targets, leveraging marketing and telemarketing resources
* Key Accounts: Develop key accounts for long-term profitable business within the region
* Bid Management: Ensure bids are appropriate in terms of margin opportunity and risk profile
* CRM Management: Maintain accurate and timely CRM records, pipelines, and sales reports for effective business decision-making
* Order Handover: Lead order handover meetings to ensure seamless transition to design, manufacturing, and operations
* Promotion: Promote the company’s products at sales meetings, conferences, and exhibitions as required
* Collaboration: Support and collaborate with sales team members and other departments to ensure best practices and continuous improvement
