Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher who inspires students to explore Philosophy and Religion through engaging, thought-provoking lessons? Consett Academy is seeking a Teacher of Philosophy and Religion to deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching KS5 for the right candidate. You will be accountable for student attainment, progress and outcomes, supporting each student to fulfil their individual potential within a supportive and challenging learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach KS5 for the right candidate.
* Be accountable for student attainment, progress and outcomes, supporting each student to fulfil their potential within a supportive and challenging learning environment.
* Work closely with the Head of Department and colleagues to develop and deliver well-planned, differentiated lessons that cater to all abilities and learning styles.
* Use a variety of interactive teaching strategies and assessment methods to monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and encourage student reflection.
* Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and foster a positive, respectful learning environment.
* Contribute to the wider school community by supporting pastoral duties, acting as a tutor, and participating in extracurricular activities and events.
* Be proactive in professional development, responding to feedback, collaborating with colleagues, and keeping subject knowledge and pedagogy up to date.
