Self-employed Family Group Conference Coordinator (untrained) – Daybreak
Train to become a Family Group Conference Coordinator
Are you passionate about supporting families and helping them find their own solutions? Would you like a flexible, rewarding role where you can make a real difference?
Daybreak, a registered charity, seeks new self-employed Independent Coordinators across the South of England. We offer training for individuals with relevant experience to become Family Group Conference (FGC) Coordinators, helping families address challenges, strengthen relationships, and create lasting solutions.
Fee:
* Outside London: £20/hour for newly qualified Coordinators, rising to £22/hour after six evidenced FGCs. Payment is capped at 25 hours per referral.
* London Boroughs: £21/hour for newly qualified Coordinators, rising to £23/hour after six evidenced FGCs. Payment is capped at 25 hours per referral.
Working pattern: Flexible to suit your schedule and case needs, including remote work and travel to meet families. We welcome applicants with varying availability, even if you have other commitments.
Contract: Independent, self-employed
Training: As a freelance Coordinator, you will be responsible for keeping up-to-date with and funding essential training, including Safeguarding and Data Protection. We offer discounted training spaces for Coordinators working with us.
Enhanced DBS clearance is essential.
About the Role
Once trained, Coordinators work impartially with families and support networks to facilitate decision-making, develop action plans, and ensure all voices are heard. Your background in education, emergency or frontline services, youth work, social work, or adult welfare can be invaluable in empowering families. Our services currently operate in Portsmouth, Reading, Bromley, Hackney, and Wiltshire, with priority given to applications in these areas. We also welcome interest from across the South of England.
