Overview
Site Project Engineer — Location: Crick. Salary: £55,000 per year. Working pattern: Monday-Friday, office hours (flexibility required for occasional out-of-hours/weekend work).
Responsibilities
* Manage minor site projects from concept to handover, including scope, cost, resources, and work packages (up to £100k).
* Contractor management: act as Site Host in line with the IPN Contractor Management Policy.
* Chair project coordination meetings and maintain clear communication with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Quality Standards.
* Monitor quality of work and materials, conducting inspections and audits to prevent rework.
* Budget and spend management: report on site project spend, escalate exceptional costs, and ensure WBS elements are controlled.
* Risk management: identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
* Maintain accurate records, including progress reports, change orders, inspections, and submit detailed project reports to management and clients.
* Support the development of the site project strategy, ensuring all future projects align with established methodologies.
Requirements
* Degree-level education (e.g., BEng) or equivalent experience.
* Project management experience essential; Prince2 Practitioner desirable.
* Knowledge of CDM regulations and Health & Safety best practice.
* Proficient in MS Project and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
* Willingness to develop further in the role through training and professional development.
