Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven and commercially astute Business Development Executive - Sustainability to lead advertising, sponsorship, and event sales across BizClik Media’s global sustainability portfolio. You will own and champion our sustainability brands, including Sustainability Magazine and Sustainability LIVE, and be responsible for generating new business, growing strategic partnerships, and delivering revenue targets across our media platforms and flagship events.
This role blends profile sales (editorial features, digital campaigns, content marketing) with event sales (sponsorship, speaking opportunities, branded content) to position BizClik as the go-to media and events platform for global sustainability leaders.
Responsibilities
* Take full commercial ownership of the sustainability vertical, driving growth in media and events.
* Act as the brand champion, representing BizClik in the global sustainability space.
* Maintain expert knowledge of all media assets including digital, newsletters, social, video, event platforms, and lead generation products.
* Sell multimedia advertising solutions, including editorial profiles, sponsored features, and brand storytelling campaigns that align with sustainability themes.
* Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with sustainability-focused companies, agencies, and NGOs.
* Monitor the competitive landscape in the sustainability media sector to inform positioning and sales strategy.
* Drive revenue through sponsorships, keynote and panel packages, and branded experiences for Sustainability LIVE and related events.
* Position BizClik events as strategic platforms for ESG storytelling, brand visibility, lead generation, and thought leadership.
* Collaborate with content and production teams to deliver compelling value propositions tailored to sustainability stakeholders.
* Develop and execute a commercial growth plan to exceed sustainability revenue targets.
* Track performance, providing regular sales reporting to senior leadership.
* Ensure cross-team alignment between content, editorial, and sales to maximise brand impact.
* Build and manage a pipeline of high-value sustainability prospects and partners.
* Deliver professional presentations in person and online, demonstrating deep sector knowledge.
* Travel between Norwich, London, and client locations as required.
Qualifications
* Essential: Proven track record in media sales, B2B event sponsorship, or sustainability sector partnerships.
* Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to manage complex, consultative sales cycles.
* Organised, self-motivated, and commercially aware.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Proficiency in CRM, lead generation, and digital media tools.
* Desirable: Previous experience in digital publishing or sustainability-focused media.
* Familiarity with global ESG, CSR, and climate-related markets.
* Additional language skills.
