This role is essential for manufacturing components for the Aerospace and Defence sectors, where “first-off” accuracy is paramount. Our client is looking for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in meeting exact drawing specifications and customer promise dates. Shift Pattern * Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 15:30 * Friday: 07:00 – 14:30 (Early weekend finish) Key Responsibilities * Set, Program & Operate: You will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC turning machines, specifically Nakamura and Citizen sliding head lathes. * Technical Execution: Changing and setting tools, adjusting offsets, and fine-tuning programs to ensure optimal machine performance. * Quality Assurance: Inspecting first-off and in-process parts using precision measuring tools to guarantee accuracy against technical drawings. * Workflow Management: Following route cards strictly, maintaining quality documentation, and ensuring components are prepared for the next production stage. * Team Collaboration: Working under the direction of the Turning Team Leader while using your own initiative to maintain department efficiency.
