We are seeking a diligent and motivated Accounts Payable Assistant to join our multi-site Finance department in the East Grinstead area. About the role:
1. Processing high volumes of supplier invoices and credit card transactions
2. Manage aged creditors
3. Managing supplier accounts and conducting regular reviews
4. Preparing and allocating payments, including ad hoc and weekly runs
5. Reconciling expenses and supplier statements
6. Supporting audits, month/year-end processes, and training others
7. Handling queries and maintaining accurate systems
About you:
8. Proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable team player
9. Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
10. Solid understanding of purchase ledger and operational finance
11. Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
12. Skilled in Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate)
13. Familiarity with Sage 200 and Paperless systems (training provided if not)
14. Comfortable planning invoice and payment cycles
Location: The McIndoe Centre, East Grinstead
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work Pattern: Office Hours, Monday to Friday
Salary: Between £24,000 to £26,000 per annum (Experience Dependent)
