We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join an established team within a trade counter environment. This role involves supporting both trade professionals and members of the public, delivering excellent service and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the depot.
Key Responsibilities
Serving customers at the trade counter and within the showroom
Assisting with product selection, providing quotations, and answering enquiries
Processing transactions and handling payments accurately
Managing goods received and maintaining stock levels
Ensuring the retail space is clean, well-organised, and presentable
Supporting general depot operations and collaborating with colleagues
Building rapport with trade customers to encourage repeat business
Answering calls and providing information on products, pricing, and availabilitySkills & Experience Required
Strong customer service skills and a confident telephone manner
Previous experience in a retail or trade counter environment
Knowledge of plumbing and heating products preferred, but not essential
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling stock and transactions
Positive, proactive attitude and a team-oriented mindset Working Hours
Expected to work 46 hours per week working 5 days across 6, with 1 day off in the week
