About the role
We are recruiting for a MOT Motor Vehicle Technician. This is an opportunity to join one of the UK's fastest growing motor groups. As a MOT Motor Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for MOT testing, servicing, repair and maintenance work for customers' vehicles, readying them for the road ahead. You will work with a variety of manufacturers and a diverse range of vehicles, taking ownership of your work and completing jobs to a high standard.
We are looking for candidates who are willing to train within the Manufacturer Franchise and have the desire and ambition to progress onto Senior and Master Technician status. The company offers a career path and EV training as part of its development programme.
You will be working in an industry‑leading workshop with state‑of‑the‑art facilities. Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Service Manager, meet franchise and company standards in a service environment.
* Undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types.
* Work to the highest standards within scheduled times to meet company, franchise and manufacturers’ standards.
* Repair vehicles, test vehicles and diagnose faults.
* Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables while maintaining records and providing quality write‑ups for customers and manufacturers.
* Keep the work area clean, tidy, organized and safe according to Health & Safety standards.
* Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements through vehicle health checks and the video process.
About you
* Experience in the Automotive sector in a technical role.
* Minimum Level 2 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and hold an MOT Tester’s Licence.
* Strong communication skills; able to work under pressure and apply technical ability to challenges.
* Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
* Hold a full UK driving licence.
