Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller Setter to join our team, working with Haas 3, 4 & 5 axis milling machines. You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC mills, ensuring components are produced to exact specifications and maintaining the highest levels of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
⦁ Set and operate Haas CNC milling machines (3, 4 & 5 axis).
⦁ Interpret engineering drawings and CAD data to produce precision components.
⦁ Select, set, and adjust tooling for each job.
⦁ Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring equipment.
⦁ Ensure parts are produced within tight tolerances and to the required surface finish.
⦁ Maintain production efficiency, making adjustments where necessary.
⦁ Keep machines and work areas clean and safe, following company health & safety procedures.
⦁ Work closely with colleagues to improve processes, reduce cycle times, and support continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
⦁ Previous experience as a CNC Miller Setter is essential.
⦁ Strong knowledge of Haas CNC controls.
⦁ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
⦁ Competent in the use of precision measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.).
⦁ Understanding of tight tolerances and machining principles.
⦁ CNC programming knowledge is desirable but not essential.
⦁ Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
⦁ Flexible and reliable team player with a positive attitude.
