Job Description
We are assisting a Local Authority in the appointment of an experienced Progression Coach to join their NEET Children's Services in Durham (working remotely). As a Residential Resource Worker, you will play an essential part in providing support to young people who are at risk of NEET (not in education, employment or training) as a Progression Coach, you will be responsible for the following:
* Manage a caseload of NEET or at-risk youth-including vulnerable groups such as those with SEND, in care, or involved with social services.
* Engage creatively to build and maintain contact with hard-to-reach young people.
* Assess needs & plan: Identify progression barriers using tools and create clear action plans.
* Deliver interventions: Facilitate both one-to-one and group activities that boost interpersonal skills, self-esteem, and readiness for post-16 pathways.
* Coordinate support: Work with other agencies to ensure integrated help, tailored to each young person's barriers.
To be a successful candidate for this role you must have the following:
* Experience of direct work with children.
* Full UK Drivers License.
