NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

The role:

The Community Mental Health Service provides a full range of secondary care to patient and community based mental health services for the adult population experiencing severe and enduring mental illness.

This care is based on the principles of equality, dignity and respect which take into account spiritual and cultural diversity. All patients are allocated a named nurse and/or a key worker who is tasked with working collaboratively with patients/carers to develop a therapeutic relationship and deliver high quality mental health care.

Within the CMHT setting, care is delivered by a multi-disciplinary team in collaboration with partner agencies. The clinical team works collaboratively with service users, carers and their representatives to ensure care needs are identified and met.
