Teaching Personnel are working with a local primary school (OL15) that are looking for a caring, motivated, and experienced Teaching Assistant (TA2) to support their Key Stage 1 (KS1) pupils on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support for learning, development, and emotional well-being in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with younger children and wants to make a meaningful impact on their early education journey.
You will:
* Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, including pupils with additional needs
* Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities in literacy, numeracy, and topic work
* Help manage classroom behaviour in a positive and consistent manner
* Prepare resources and maintain a well-organised learning environment
* Support pupils’ social and emotional development through encouragement and positive reinforcement
* Contribute to assessments and observations as directed by the class teacher
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience working in a primary school, preferably within KS1
* A relevant Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
* Strong understanding of early learning and child development
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A calm, patient, and enthusiastic approach
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* A driving license is preferred but not essential
