As the Business Development Executive at Cohaesus Group, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and establishing strategic partnerships within the marketing technologies sector. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the overall expansion of our client base. This role is based in our offices in Christchurch, and will require an amount of travel and face to face meetings as the business demands.

You have a proven ability to prospect, qualify, and close new business. Your excellent communication skills allow you to build rapport and deliver persuasive proposals to prospective clients. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you are comfortable analysing data to identify market opportunities. Driven by the challenge of hitting targets and contributing to growth, you are passionate about understanding client needs and delivering value. Your resilience, autonomy and team spirit will enable you to travel to client meetings and events as needed to pursue new business.
Requirements
Business Development
* Manage outbound lead generation to book calls and meetings with prospective clients
* Ensure that new business targets are achieved each quarter
* Keep invoice forecasts updated
* Secure purchase orders from clients
* Review terms of trade with clients and prospects
Relationship Management
* Ensure the key document “Deals Forecast’ is kept up to date via Hubspot
* Set up and manage the client feedback system with the leadership team, ensuring that the measures are consistent and tracked in a transparent manner
* Collaborate with the Leadership team to ensure sales collateral is ready when needed
* Maintain client and prospect data in CRM
* Assist with regular CRM data reviews to ensure accurate client data for marketing purposes.
* Utilise CRM to track deals
Commercial Management
* Ensure that the firm is not exposed to unnecessary liabilities by ensuring the correct commercial documents are executed with clients
* Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for business growth
* Meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the company
* Take on and execute unfamiliar responsibilities positively, recognising that dealing with significant ambiguity and unknowns is a core part of your role.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven experience in business development, sales or account management within the marketing technologies sector is preferred.
* Strong understanding of marketing technologies, including digital advertising platforms, data analytics tools, marketing automation software and more.
* Patient and attentive approach to understanding client needs and challenges.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Highly motivated with a results-oriented approach.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
* Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as required.
* Capable of planning and managing own schedule for meetings and travel.
