Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, possess strong management and leadership skills, and be committed to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners. Duties
* Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards.
* Supervise children during play, meal times, nap times, and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones.
* Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
* Organise daily routines and ensure the environment is clean, safe, and welcoming.
* Lead by example in promoting good behaviour and social skills among children.
* Support the professional development of team members through mentorship and guidance.
* Occasionally assist with administrative tasks related to nursery operations.
* Drive company vehicles when required for nursery-related activities or outings.
Requirements
* Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting.
* Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily nursery operations effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
* Ability to organise activities that cater to diverse learning needs.
* Childcare qualification or relevant early childhood education certification is preferred.
* Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or supplies as needed.
* A caring attitude with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating initiative when required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
