We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join us working in Cardiothoracic Surgery on Chesterman Wards 3 and 4.
The advanced clinical practitioner will be an autonomous, accountable practitioner working on their own initiative and in collaboration with medical, nursing, and allied health professional colleagues as required.
The post holder will also play a key role within the service / department by supporting specific elements of service improvement, audit and research as well as having an active on-going role in the development, supervision, training and assessment of junior medical colleagues and NMAHPs.
The role will be structured around the four core functions of advanced practice:
Expert clinical practice (with a minimum clinical focus of 80%).
Professional leadership and consultancy.
Education, training and development of self and others.
Practice and service development, research, and evaluation.
