Responsible To: The Headteacher – Newingate School
We are seeking a PE teacher to join our team, who have the willingness and ability to contribute to quickly establishing the school as a local centre of excellence for learning, teaching and supporting students with a diagnosis of Autism gaining the best possible outcomes.
We are looking for colleagues who are a great all-rounder: enthusiastic, innovative, committed, highly motivated and a positive role model. Those with prior experience or training in the Primary or SEND sectors will be well prepared for teaching in our school, but we also aspire to GCSE (or equivalent) outcomes for our students so those with secondary training are just as welcome and encouraged to apply.

If you have the experience and drive to lead on a specific curriculum area or aspect of provision, we will offer the opportunity and support to do so. The willingness to teach subjects beyond that in which you are primarily trained to teach is essential.
Job Summary
To take responsibility for the planning, implementation, and assessment of at least 1 additional core subject as part of a broad and balanced curriculum for an initial cohort of students with Special Educational Needs, a diagnosis of Autism and associated SEMH difficulties. To ensure that all students, irrespective of their varying learning abilities, make progress and achieve the best possible outcomes.

6. Able to support our students to reach their full personal and academic potential
