About The role We are looking for someone to lead on developing our course material in Telecommunications for apprentices. The role will involve a blend of teaching and hands-on practical exercises to assess apprentices against accredited qualifications. The programme involves a wide range of technical skills across Telecommunications, Networking and IT so if you have substantial experience in these subject areas then we would love to hear from you. About The Person Be the subject matter lead on the development of the Telecoms programme for apprentices. Deliver high quality teaching and learning to individuals and groups, across multiple locations, with significant travel. Contribute to improvements to the Scheme of Work, Lesson Plans, teaching and learning materials and resources to meet the qualification requirements. Complete regular, meaningful and accurate Learner Reviews at the conclusion of each course. Work with internal and external partners to ensure the agreed quality standards are met. Work effectively with the internal and external Assessors and Verifiers to ensure the learners successfully complete their full apprenticeship framework by their planned achievement date Ensure that programme is delivered in accordance with the organisations Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety Policies. Your Skills & Experience Experience and knowledge of at least two of the following technical areas, ideally from employment in the IT sector or an IT role: Fixed Line Telecommunications (required) Mobile Telecommunications Networking and Network Security Sound understanding of typical consumer home IT Recognised Telecoms and IT qualifications covering the skill sets listed above Previous experience of working with 16 to 21 year olds in Apprenticeships or with Undergraduate students in an HE environment. A recognised teaching qualification, or a commitment to achieving at least a Diploma in Teaching in the Livelong Learning Sector Knowledge of apprenticeships and work-based learning, or knowledge of Higher Education. Understanding of equality and diversity issues Required - Demonstrable technical skills in the areas listed above Excellent communication skills A logical thinker and a passion to achieve Ability to deliver practical and engaging teaching and learning sessions Ability to identify and help learners to overcome potential barriers to learning, progress and achievement. Working at all times lawfully and in accordance with the pre-defined regulatory, compliance and financial requirements. e.g. Data Protection, Code of Conduct, Ofsted regulations, City and Guilds regulations and Health and Safety.
