Bar Manager –
An independent bar with a strong focus on craft beer, quality wine, and creative cocktails. We're looking for a driven, hands-on Bar Manager to lead our team and help shape the future of our venue. The right candidate will be independent, self-motivated, and confident running all aspects of the bar's day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Cellar Management: Oversee stock rotation, line cleaning, and cellar maintenance to ensure consistent quality of our craft beer offering.
* Cash Handling & Admin: Responsible for daily cashing up, reconciliations, and accurate record keeping.
* Team Leadership & Training: Recruit, train, and inspire staff, setting high standards for service, product knowledge, and professionalism.
* Food & Kitchen Oversight: Ensure smooth coordination with the kitchen, maintaining standards in food hygiene, storage, and service.
* Health & Safety: Uphold and enforce all health & safety and food hygiene regulations across the venue.
* Stock & Ordering: Manage stock levels, supplier relationships, and ordering to maintain efficiency and minimise waste.
* Customer Experience: Deliver excellent hospitality, with a focus on craft beer, cocktails, and wine knowledge.
* Events & Promotions: Support in planning and executing events, promotions, and new ideas to grow the business.
About You
* Proven cellar management experience (essential).
* Strong understanding of cash handling, admin, and stock control.
* Experience in staff training and team management.
* Knowledge of craft beer, wine, and cocktails with a genuine passion for hospitality.
* Confident in managing kitchen standards, food hygiene, and health & safety compliance.
* Independent, proactive, and able to make decisions without constant direction.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
