In this role, you’ll help create a calm, welcoming environment for patients while ensuring they receive nutritious, well‑presented meals that support their recovery. What you’ll be doing Preparing and serving patient meals in a hygienic, safe and organised manner Engaging with patients to ensure they feel comfortable, supported and well cared for Communicating clearly with the kitchen team to ensure all food orders are accurate and timely Keeping the ward pantry clean, tidy and compliant with all hygiene and safety standards Supporting the Ward Host Manager and Supervisor to meet service level agreements and health & safety requirements Completing all required audit and quality documentation Ensuring individual dietary needs are understood and catered for Carrying out ad‑hoc duties to support the smooth running of the service What great performance looks like Consistently strong PSS (Patient Satisfaction Survey) results High levels of client and patient satisfaction Achieving agreen Safeguard audit rating Maintaining a5‑star food hygiene rating What you’ll bring Essential Confident communication skills A friendly, customer‑focused approach Ability to work well as part of a team Good literacy and numeracy Understanding of hygiene, safety and relevant legislation Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately Desirable Food Hygiene Level 2 or above What we offer: Working at Sodexo isn’t just a job — it’s a chance to make a difference every day.
