Your New Role
As a Solar PV Designer, you’ll play a key role in designing and developing solar energy systems for both residential and commercial clients. You will work on creating designs using software such as OpenSolar, PVSol or PVsyst. Your responsibilities will include site assessments, producing system layouts, calculating energy yields, and coordinating with the project and sales teams to ensure the successful delivery of bespoke PV systems. You’ll also ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, providing accurate technical drawings and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Your Background
You should have hands-on experience in designing solar PV systems. A minimum qualification of HND or HNC in a relevant discipline is required. You’ll need to have worked on both residential and commercial solar projects, with a good understanding of medium-scale solar installations. Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential, as you’ll be collaborating across teams to deliver tailored solar solutions that meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
