Overview
As an Audio Visual Event Technician at Foster + Partners, you will play a central role in delivering exceptional AV support across a variety of events and meeting spaces. You’ll work in a fast-paced, high-quality environment where technical expertise, calm problem-solving and outstanding communication contribute to seamless and professional experiences for colleagues, clients and visitors.
Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary AV contact for events, coordinating technical requirements from start to finish.
* Build strong working relationships with event organisers, clients and AV vendors.
* Oversee pre-event testing, rehearsals and planning to ensure flawless delivery.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues swiftly and confidently during live events.
* Manage, maintain and improve AV equipment across audio, video, lighting and networking systems.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in AV operations with broad knowledge of analogue and digital equipment.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to support stakeholders at all levels.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
* Strong understanding of AV equipment such as mixers, microphones, projectors, video walls and control systems.
* Familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Webex and Zoom.
* Solid IT knowledge across Windows, macOS, Wi‑Fi troubleshooting and networking fundamentals.
