As part of our hybrid working approach this role offers a mix of office and home working. Hybrid working can only be considered once your initial training is complete and subject to business need. After training, you'll be hands-on, responsible for project design, costing and quoting and the replacement/diversion/reinforcement of existing electricity network assets. As an electrical consultant, you will determine whether the supply chain can handle new electrics in the area. You may initially be appointed at a lower salary until all relevant courses and training are complete.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver new services, alterations and small capital projects
* Design schemes that align with Engineering Directives and consider voltage drops
* Prepare quotations and Connection Agreements for LV connection-related works
* Access, remove or avoid site risks
Qualifications
* English and Maths GCSE Grade C/Level 4 minimum, or Functional Skills Level 2 or above
* Level 2 City & Guilds 2339, or equivalent qualification at the same level; if not already attained you will need to undertake Level 3 City & Guilds 2339
* Low-voltage experience as an electrician or a Grade 4 Network Planner is a plus
* Strong communication skills to coordinate jobs, solve problems and explain issues clearly
* Ability to manage your own diary, be resilient, organized and able to prioritise workload
* Team-oriented with experience using iPads and computers; training will be provided for role-specific software
* Full UK driving licence to enable site visits
