Job Description
Discover a great opportunity within our client's Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Procurement team, which champions productivity, quality, and digital innovation to redefine clean energy solutions. As a seasoned procurement professional, you'll lead critical initiatives and orchestrate negotiations to secure optimal contracts. Your role involves cultivating robust supplier relationships, analyzing market dynamics, and driving cost-saving measures. Collaborating closely with customers, you'll ensure alignment with evolving needs while spearheading performance enhancements. Responsibilities
1. Plan negotiations, define awarding strategy, and prepare sourcing board approvals, respecting the suppliers defined by the commodity strategy to enable pooling potential.
2. Negotiate local, regional, or multi-site contracts in conjunction with relevant procurement managers or independently, including prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
3. Contribute to the EcoSystem commodity strategy and develop a business listing of preferred suppliers.
4. Manage relationships with assigned suppliers in alignment with CM/GCM when applicable.
5. Support and maintain supplier segmentation of the relevant supply base, representing the customer view in Commodity Circles.
6. Analyze local and regional market trends and utilize them in commodity strategy.
7. Identify customer requirements and support the execution process, providing input into sourcing.
8. Monitor supplier performance and inform relevant stakeholders.
9. Generate, document, and implement savings measures; monitor and report KPIs.
10. Drive early procurement/supplier involvement and cost-out activities.
11. Identify procurement risks and opportunities and implement measures.
12. Identify potential contractual items and liaise with strategic commodity management to incorporate them into contracts.
13. Implement commodity strategies and define local/regional material field strategies for non-pooled commodities.
Qualifications
* Experience in a complex, evolving global organizational environment.
* 10+ years in strategic sourcing/commodity management.
* Outstanding Excel skills.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and customer management skills.
* Strong commercial, contractual, and project management skills.
* Knowledge of component manufacturing processes and quality standards.
* Experience working with a global supplier base in a matrix environment.
* Bachelor's degree or Master's degree is desirable but not essential.
You must have experience negotiating multimillion-pound contracts, developing commodity strategies, and strong Excel skills.
