What Is the Opportunity?
We are seeking a Casualty Underwriting specialist to join our team as Deputy Casualty Underwriting Officer. You will support the lead Underwriting Officer and leadership teams across various sectors to monitor and contribute to the profitable growth of our Casualty and Third Party portfolios. Your role will involve developing underwriting strategies, monitoring portfolio performance, and collaborating with colleagues across departments.
Travelers Europe offers a hybrid working arrangement, typically three days in the office and two days remote, subject to policy adjustments. This role is eligible for a £2,500 new joiner bonus, with additional referral bonuses possible.
What Will You Do?
* Support strategic underwriting direction, including rate strength, business mix, and risk appetite.
* Assist in setting strategies for rate adequacy, product, and pricing.
* Oversee rating tools and underwriting standards.
* Analyze industry trends and provide underwriting guidance.
* Mentor and coach underwriting staff.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Review underwriting materials and coverage options.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
