The role
will also involve liaising with HMRC and third parties, preparing and filing P11Ds, administering payroll benefits in kind, and keeping up to date with changes in personal tax legislation and HMRC requirements.
What you will need to succeed
This opportunity would suit someone with previous personal tax experience within an accountancy practice, who is comfortable managing their own workload while also supporting colleagues within a close‑knit team. You will be highly organised, able to plan effectively around deadlines, and confident delivering 'right first time' tax returns. A tax or accountancy qualification, or studying towards one, would be beneficial but is not essential. This is an excellent opportunity for a personal tax professional looking to join a values‑driven firm where technical quality, flexibility and long‑term development are genuinely encouraged.
What you will get in return
The firm places genuine importance on work-life balance and employee wellbeing, offering competitive benefits package and investing in modern systems and technology to support both clients and staff. Hybrid working is available following probation, with a typical split of three days in the office and two from benefits package includes a competitive salary dependent on experience, 36 days' holiday inclusive of bank holidays and Christmas, a 5% employer pension contribution, life assurance, enhanced family leave and sick pay, employee assistance programme, paid volunteering time, long‑service rewards, on‑site parking and the option to buy or sell up to five days' holiday.
