Milk Education are working with a primary schools in North Liverpool who are seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to work with small group interventions and support SEN children 1:1. Schools are looking ASAP.

The School are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and accommodating to different learning needs for this part-time Teaching Assistant position. The hours vary from 5 mornings/afternoons a week or 3 whole days a week.

This part-time Teaching Assistant role will involve keeping children on task and ensuring that the work they doing is being done to a good standard. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensure the children’s needs are being met. In this part-time Teaching Assistant role you will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment for the children.

Teaching Assistant- Role & Responsibilities:

1. Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
2. Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
3. Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
4. Deliver catch-up sessions

Teaching Assistant Level- Non-negotiables:

5. Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
6. Must have a passion for education
7. Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
8. Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
9. Must be reliable and punctual
