School Staffing Solutions are recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant for an SEN school in Kings Lynn. We are supporting an expanding school in the area who have just had a purpose built £2.5 million school added to their current woodland grounds and are excited to be starting the journey of developing the school and its offer to new pupils. Key Responsibilities Assist pupils with learning activities; Mentor and inspire learners by supporting them with curriculum-based learning in the classroom, on home tuition and outreach and through outdoor activities. Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development using trauma-informed approaches. Help manage behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct. Encourage pupil engagement and independence in learning tasks Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources. Support record-keeping and monitoring of pupil progress as directed. Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly learning environment Interaction with parents/care givers on a regular basis Requirements Relevant education or training; willingness to undertake further professional development. Experience supporting pupils in an educational or care setting. 2 years experience working with pupils with SEND and complex needs Awareness of safeguarding, behaviour management, and SEND principles. Ability to support teaching and learning effectively under supervision Commitment to professional conduct and safeguarding as per the Staff Code of Conduct. Patience, empathy, adaptability, and a positive attitude. Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous.
