Your new role
As Land Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-development process, supporting land acquisition and appraisal activities across Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Lincolnshire, and Bedfordshire.Key responsibilities include:
Preparing detailed land cost appraisals and site-specific take-offs
Liaising with Commercial, Technical, and Engineering teams to explore alternative site strategies
Analysing planning and technical documentation to inform appraisals
Producing reliable forecasts and cash flows to support investment decisions
Presenting appraisal overviews to senior stakeholders ahead of bid submissions
Monitoring market costs and technologies to ensure competitive and accurate estimations
What you'll need to succeed
You'll bring at least 2 years' experience in the construction sector, with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of land appraisal processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, and experience with COINS software is advantageous. You'll be self-motivated, well-organised, and confident working independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
