Job Description
Core aspects of the Warehouse Operations Manager role include:
1. End-to-End Supply Chain Management: Oversee the full supply chain process, ensuring efficient procurement, inventory control, and demand planning to meet business needs.
2. Optimize Logistics Operations: Manage warehouse, transport, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
3. Supplier & Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and key stakeholders to drive performance and cost efficiencies.
4. Inventory & Stock Control: Ensure accurate stock levels, reduce waste, and improve inventory forecasting to avoid shortages or overstocking.
5. Customer Order Fulfilment: Oversee sales order processing, ensuring on-time and in-full (OTIF) deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.
6. Data-Driven Performance Management: Monitor and analyse supply chain KPIs, such as lead times, cost per unit, and supplier performance, to drive continuous improvement.
7. Warehouse & Facility Oversight: Manage warehouse operations, ensuring optimal layout, stock movement, and safety compliance.
8. Process Improvement & Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, negotiate better supplier terms, and reduce operational costs without compromising service quality.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals.
10. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with health & safety, environmental, and industry regulations, mitigating risks across the supply chain.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Warehouse Manager should have:
* Proven experience in warehouse management
* Proficiency in warehouse software packages and MS Office
* Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
* Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage 30 employees
* Strong decision-making skills and a hands-on approach to work
* An understanding of health and safety regulations
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
* Must be able to commute daily to Yeovil, 5 days per week

* A competitive salary between £60,000 and £65,000 per annum
