We’re currently seeking a highly experienced individual who is reliable and passionate in leading a team on a daily basis. This key role will assist in ongoing support of innovative practices as we continue to strive towards being an industry leader in the maintenance of our fleet. Come on board with Busways as a Mechanic at our Penrith Depot.
What We Offer
* Earning Potential: $110,000 - $120,000+ including reasonable overtime loading and generous allowances inclusive of super
* $38.69 - $42.44 per hour, depending on skills and experience
* Tool Allowance: $17.90 payable weekly
* Attendance Allowance: $32 payable on rostered worked hours
* Annual Leave: loading of 17.5%
* Ongoing Training and Development: Including in-house Heavy Vehicle Brake courses presented by a registered TAFE teacher.
* Exposure to Advanced Technologies: Work on a range of vehicles, including Euro 5 & 6 technologies.

Role Responsibilities
This role requires a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills. Your main duties will include:
* Diagnosing, inspecting, reconditioning, repairing, assembling the fleet and ensuring safety, quality and Busways standards are followed at all times.
* Maintaining all company vehicles and assets in accordance with Manufacturer's guidelines
* Ensuring all maintenance work is performed according to company procedures.
* Attend breakdowns and carry out any field related mechanical repairs
* Effectively and efficiently communicate any safety or maintenance issues
* Adhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements whilst performing work duties
* Maintaining clean workshop practices
* Reporting and repairing all accident damage as required
* Performing ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directed
Our workshop staff play a critical role within the business to ensure our ever-evolving fleet of vehicles are continually maintained to the highest standard to keep our staff and passengers safe out on the road.
You can expect to be provided with all necessary training, this will include relevant information about our various makes and models of vehicles to ensure a thorough understanding of standards required to meet contract obligations.
