Key Responsibilities
In this Humanities Lecturer role, your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering high-quality teaching across Religious Studies, Philosophy, and Politics to a range of learners and levels.
* Taking responsibility for student progress, assessment, pastoral care, and classroom discipline under the guidance of the Head of Department.
* Monitoring and assessing student progress regularly to ensure high standards of academic achievement.
* Making full use of departmental and institutional resources to enhance learning and teaching.
* Encouraging and valuing student work through various forms of recognition, such as display, publication, and prompt feedback.
* Collaborating with departmental colleagues to contribute to resource development and curriculum planning.
Skills & Experience
* Must have the Right to Work in the UK and an Enhanced Adult/Child DBS dated within the last 3 months or registered on the update service.
* A UK-recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent) is essential.
* A bachelor's degree in a relevant humanities subject (e.g., Religious Studies, Philosophy, Politics).
* Familiarity with contemporary teaching techniques and curriculum developments.
* Proven experience delivering high-quality teaching in one or more of the listed subject areas.
